I just call mine rolls. Maybe that's because I was called "jelly roll" in elementary school and, later on, embraced the term as part of my self-acceptance. My roll pulls in right where my pants sit too, but if I buy looser pants, they'll fall off. My mom, brother, and dad, on the other hand, have smooth, round bellies so I don't think it's a genetic thing. :P

I think it's from the tough, fibrous band of connective tissue that runs down the middle of the abdomen, "linea alba".

I was able to train ivy to grow up the front of my house by using some fishing line tied around strategically placed thumb tacks in the wood trim. It was fairly simple to do, and I was able to make a neat star-burst type pattern (which wasn't intended, but was the pleasant result of poor planning). I love what you've done with the garden space! It's inspired me to go do some planning in my own back yard, so growing next spring will be easier. :)

I used to do "decos" which were small hand-made books that circulated through the mail, and everyone would decorate a page and include their contact info. It would sometimes take 5 years, or sometimes never happen, but the idea was to have the completed book return to you!

Anyway, I bound mine by sewing the spine too, only I used a machine on a very loose stitch. It works well and holds up okay if you ever have to work with a larger volume of zines than that.

I can't work out how to leave a note lol but I spread the breadsticks that came with the salad with the avocado (it was very ripe) and dipped it into the dressing. SO yummy and obesity-glorifying.

But I know, personally, how hard that is to remember and how much it sucks to be completely disconnected from it through depression, et cetera. i especially love this for the commentary--i always am in awe of people who can sew and kinda feel bad that i can't seem to manage it and thus solve my fat related sartorial problems. but i feel a bit better now lol now i know i'm not the only one. it looks great!

I relate so bad I have size 9 UK shoes, which I think is an Australian 11 or 12. I can either buy ugly "practical" granny flats or very unpractical crazy, platfom, plastic heels meant for drag shows. I may have to learn to walk in heels because I am sick of flats, drag shoes here I come.

Did you know that you can alter the colour of hydrangeas by planting things beneath them in the soil? Rusty horse shoes will turn the hydrangeas blue. If you keep them in large pots you can vary the colours even more by varying the things that you plant beneath them. :) Hydrangea rainbows were a big part of my upbringing in the country. It was always fun experimenting by burying old farm tools to see what would happen!
